About LADA Compass
LADA Compass exists because latent autoimmune diabetes doesn't get the explanation it deserves. It's easy to find information about Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes; LADA is usually a footnote, if it appears at all.
LADA Compass is written and maintained by a small editorial team, not a single personal account. Articles and posts are researched and drafted collectively, which is why bylines across the site read "LADA Compass editorial team" rather than an individual name.
Editorial & review policy
Wiki articles are written from public medical literature and community experience, and each one lists a reviewed date and reviewer on the page itself. Right now, that reviewer is the LADA Compass editorial team, not a licensed clinician. Every article says so directly: "not clinically reviewed." That will change as the site adds a real clinical review step, at which point the article's reviewer line will reflect it. Until then, treat the wiki as a well-researched starting point for a conversation with your own doctor, not a substitute for one.
